There is a problem, the guy isn’t there and the buyer is about to leave so they end up moving in early. They wire Scoot and send him in to talk to the guy. They have to catch him as soon as the drug is brought in, before he can alter it. Meanwhile, Voight and Atwater are talking to the guy they picked up, Scoot and he is agreeing to work with them and set up the guy who is bringing in the fentanyl and altering it so they can’t arrest him. Platt has been sitting with Chase and Chase tells her that his father is usually the one who gets really mad and Platt starts to think that the assault charge against his mother is bogus. He mentions that it was another guys idea to make Tyler and a couple others run the drugs. He was seasick and leaning over the side of the boat when a bouy came up the side of the boat. Meanwhile, they bring the guy in that owns the boat and he tells them that Tyler’s death was an accident. Halstead and Mouse are having a hard time getting past Mouse wanting to reenlist, but Lindsay helps Halstead see that even though it might not be the right move for Halstead, it might be what Mouse needs. She claims that her ex-husband isn’t well and that he told her he would do anything to keep Chase from her. Meanwhile, Burgess and Tay run into the ex-wife of the guy who was stabbed in the neck. Lindsay gets some bad news from the lab, the fentanyl that they found isn’t really fentanyl, it’s literally off by a molecule, which means they don’t have a case. They aren’t able to find the supplier, but they find his boat. They are able to arrest Red, the dealer and he gives them a description of his supplier. I have to say, he plays a heroin addict pretty well. The team gets a lead on a local dealer who is dealing the heroin laced with fentanyl and they send Ruzek to buy off him.
Burgess tells him that Chase is going to have to go with DCFS in the meantime.
He called for Chase because he couldn’t find his phone. Talking to the father at the hospital, he tells Burgess that his wife got made and stabbed him, when she saw blood she ran out of the door. There is no sign of the mother though and when Burgess asks Chase where his mother is, he tells them he doesn’t know. He is telling them that his mother hurt his father really bad and when they go inside, they find the father sitting at the kitchen table with a knife sticking out of his neck. They pay him a visit and question him about the drugs, but he denies knowing anything about them and then hands them a card for his lawyer.īurgess and Tay are driving down the street when they almost hit a young boy named Chase who is covered in blood. She is showing them pictures from his social media and they find that Tyler has a friend, Tony.
Olinsky and Dawson are going to tell the mother of the victim, who was tracked down by a tattoo found on his arm, that her son is dead. All because the commander isn’t happy that she turned him down and even more pissed that Platt took her off it and brought her into 21. Meanwhile, Burgess and Tay are called over to Platt’s desk and Tay is told that she is being transferred back to her foot beat. Meanwhile, they find a body in the water. This is what’s been causing all the overdoses in the city. When they get there, they find a backpack covered in blood and a huge bag of fentanyl which has been used to cut heroin. Just then, another one comes in and they get a call about a suspicious package at a lake.
